If you’re keen to get your blood pumping, then join the fitness fanatics at Jacob’s Ladder, located at the end of Cliff Street. Just shy of 300 steps, the twisty staircase will take you down to Mounts Bay Road where you can turn right back around to go all the way back up the stairway to sweaty heaven!
Nature and stunning views more your thing? There are over half a dozen walking trails within Kings Park and Botanic Gardens making it a nature lover’s paradise with beautiful sweeping views of the Swan River and city skyline.

After a stroll with some suburban serenity? Head to Claisebrook Cove in East Perth and enjoy a quiet walk around the inlet. You can soak up the sun and good vibes with a coffee in one of the charming waterfront cafes. You might even be lucky enough to see dolphins in the inlet…
Once the caffeine kicks in, take the pedestrian bridge across the inlet to Victoria Gardens where there is plenty of relaxing greenery to enjoy, including some of the original trees planted in the late 1800’s.
The walk along Riverside Drive is the perfect place to get your blood pumping while taking in the scenic Swan River views and the city-scape on either side of the path. Start your walk at The Causeway end of Riverside Drive and head to Elizabeth Quay where you can appreciate the iconic architecture of the 110-metre long pedestrian bridge over the Swan River.
Worked up an appetite? Enjoy a well-earned beverage or bite to eat at one of the nearby venues like The Reveley or V Burger Bar.
Start at the iconic UWA Boatshed for an obligatory Instagram pic in your activewear before pounding the pavement and heading towards Matilda Bay Reserve.
