Winter Reading Challenge

The City of Perth Library challenges you to log six hours of reading time this winter. That’s less than 20 minutes a day, you can do it!

Feel accomplished as you snuggle up to read this winter. Winter is the perfect time to pick up a book and light up your mind!

Reading can improve your knowledge, build vocabulary, increase empathy and reduce stress. Reading can even help you sleep. For children, early exposure to books and stories substantially improves literacy and offers lifelong benefits.

Register now to track your reading, collect badges, participate in activities and access recommendations from other readers.

When is the Winter Reading Challenge?
The 2020 Winter Reading Challenge starts on 1 July and ends on 31 August. You can start any time during the challenge, and you can keep logging your reading after the challenge closes.

I like graphic novels, can I log those too?
