On 26 January the City of Perth’s Australia Day Skyworks 2020 wowed more than 250,000 people.
At its peak, the annual celebration saw crowds flock to the foreshore in perfect weather across Langley Park and Supreme Court Gardens, South Perth, Victoria Park and Kings Park to enjoy the air show and free entertainment from 3pm before the spectacular fireworks finale at 8pm.
The Lotterywest Entertainment Zone at Langley Park provided hours of amusement for families throughout the afternoon while the Birak Concert saw people join in cultural celebrations in Supreme Court Gardens.
The highlight of the night was a 30-minute fireworks display which captivated the crowd with stunning pyrotechnics including a brand-new effect creating waves of comets and mines in the sky over the Swan River.
