Overview
Gloucester Park has hosted harness racing in East Perth since 1930, when it opened as Brennan Park on reclaimed river mudflats. It took its current name in 1935, after a visit from the Duke of Gloucester, and it is now WA's only metropolitan harness racing track.
Get trackside at the rail and feel the pacers come past. Wander the parading ring beforehand, back a runner at the tote, and settle in as the floodlights come on.
Book a table at the Beau Rivage restaurant for tiered dining and panoramic track views, or keep it casual at Steelo's or JP's Sportsbar.
General admission is free on standard Friday night meetings. Feature nights — fireworks, New Year's Eve and the big-money races — charge entry, so check ahead.
