Perth Comedy Festival

Now – 17 May | The Rechabite

The Perth Comedy Festival is Perth’s biggest annual comedy event. Every April and May, the best comedians from Australia and beyond take to stages across Perth for a massive month of comedy. The Festival program features performances from the finest Australian acts, the biggest international stars and the most promising emerging talent offering up everything from stand up to sketch, satire, impro, musical, absurdist, theatre, magic and kids comedy.

Revealed Exhibition

Now – 14 June | PICA

As part of WA’s biggest celebration of Aboriginal art, Revealed: New and Emerging WA Aboriginal Artists, returns to Boorloo (Perth) with an eight-week exhibition at the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts (PICA). Showcasing the diversity, depth and cultural strength of Aboriginal art practices, Revealed transports audiences across the vast state of Western Australia—from the red dirt of the Kimberley to the towering forests of the South-West—with works spanning painting, printmaking, photography, drawing, sculpture and weaving.

Until Falling Things Work

Wednesday 13 – Saturday 26 May | The Blue Room Theatre

This performance shares the stories of how one man’s life touches the world through poetic prose and dance. Moments in memory and time upend and suspend a life less ordinary. Find out more here.

Careers Expo 2026

Thursday 14 – Sunday 17 May | Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre

Perth’s premier and longest‑running Education, Training and Employment Expo returns this week! Aligning with National Careers Week, this event connects people of all ages with providers offering accredited courses, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), WA’s Big Five universities, national institutions, specialist training providers, RTOs and employers. It’s the perfect opportunity to connect with trade and technical training providers and discover existing and emerging career opportunities across WA’s growing industries.

Dracula

Friday 15 – Saturday 30 May | His Majesty’s Theatre

Dracula rises again in the return of this multi award-winning, audience favourite, performed by West Australian Ballet with West Australian Symphony Orchestra. Prepare to be consumed in the seductive storyline, magnificent score and breathtaking set and costume design again – or for the very first time. Based on the novel by Bram Stoker.

Nature-Based Sound Meditation

Friday 15 May | Mardalup Park

Join Sound Healing Perth for a soothing nature‑based sound meditation as a part of Tree Month. This free, gentle sundown session takes place beneath the trees and offers a peaceful way to unwind after a long week, reconnecting mind and body with the sounds of nature.

Saturdays at Bobèche

Saturday 16 May | Bobèche

As the lights dim, the music begins. Every Saturday from 8pm, a live jazz trio sets the tone with upbeat rhythms and late‑night energy at Bobèche. Settle into a booth and let expertly mixed drinks and live entertainment carry you through the night.

The legends return with their biggest production yet. Catch Hermitude live in the Warehouse as they debut their new album EIGHT alongside the classics that defined a generation.

22 May – 22 August | Lawson Flats

Aster + Asha Gallery presents a solo exhibition by Western Australian artist, Anna Louise Richardson. Bringing together works from the last eight years, the show considers how birds have woven their presence through significant moments in the artist’s life.This body of work explores themes of parenthood, family, preternatural experiences, and connection to place. Anna primarily works with charcoal and graphite on cement fibreboard, creating drawings that use flattened perspectives and manipulated scales to amplify emotional resonance.
